EMPLOYMENT STATUSAuxiliary (CUPE)RESPONSIBILITIES Research, develop and deliver heritage programs, special events, and demonstrations at the Historic Stewart Farm, and at various outreach activations in Surrey. Schedule and deliver guided tours of the historic farmhouse and other features of the site. Implement cash handling procedures. Support volunteer training, hospitality and recognition. Purchase and inventory program equipment and supplies. Supervise instructors, volunteers and junior staff. Assist in the development and distribution of promotional material. Provide support for some curatorial-related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS Completion of Grade 12 and some post-secondary education form a recognized institution, supplemented by 2 years related experience including supervision in cultural work or area of specialty. Valid Emergency first aid/CPR C and AED certification. A valid BC Driver?s License with a safe driving history. Some knowledge of cultural programs, their purpose and objectives would be beneficial. Foodsafe Level 1 certificate (asset). Have excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Detail oriented person able to work well with various programming timelines. Comfortable interacting with a variety of ages, cultures, individuals and groups and can handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy. OTHER INFORMATION Conditions of Employment This position requires completion of a Police Information Check/Vulnerable Secor Check. Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications.
