In this important role, you will assist the Lead Accountant in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the brewery's continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, growing company within the craft beer industry. You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, managing accounts, and contributing to the overall financial health of the brewery. You will work closely with the Lead Accountant and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the organization.Job Responsiblities This position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and cash management of Pump House Brewery and BrewpubsMaintain accuracy and integrity of the accounting systemsHelp lead accounting team members and oversee invoicing, collections and payments ensuring timely processing of accounts payable.Reconcile bank accounts on a daily/monthly basisWork with Lead Accountant on month end closing and inventory managementAssist with the development of the forecasting model to meet the needs of the leadership teamPrepare various reports for CRA, WorkSafe NB, Encorp and Liquor BoardsAssist in year end with Lead AccountantAssist with Government Funding applications and managementWork with other departments as necessary to provide information and/or assist with investigationsHelp the Lead Accountant with payroll when necessaryAssist Lead Accountant with various projects and financial model preparation and maintenance when necessaryIdentify potential internal control and financial reporting issues and recommend solutions and improvements when appropriateAdditional duties as requireRequirements/QualificationsCompletion of a bachelor's degree with a focus in accounting is preferred3-5 years of experience, preferable in a manufacturing environmentPayroll experience considered an assetProficient with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel an asset)Knowledge of Quick Books and Sage 50Good understanding of GAAPStrong attention to detailsAbility to meet deadlines and handle issues in a diplomatic and positive mannerExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSelf-motivatedWillingness to learn new skillsFlexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the businessWe thank you for your interest in our company.
