Education: Bachelor's degree. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Develop and prepare design sketches. Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Prepare contracts and tenders. Write technical reports. Write specifications. Estimate costs and materials. Complete documentation packages and drawing sets. Examine drawings for conformity and errors. Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : SOLIDWORKS Certification. Type of drafting: Shop drawings. Detailing drafting. Type of product: Shipbuilding. Computer and technology knowledge: Computer-aided design (CAD). AutoCAD. SolidWorks software. MS Office. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Quality assurance or control. Area of specialization: Mechanical. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail.
