We are currently seeking an *Assistant General Manager who would like to advance in to the General Manager Position. * to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in managing high-volume shifts, leading a team, and ensuring every aspect of the pub runs smoothly. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Shift Management:* * Lead and supervise the team during your shift, ensuring the pub operates efficiently and in line with company standards. * Ensure all employees are properly trained and motivated to provide excellent service. * Maintain a high level of organization while managing multiple priorities, such as guest service, food orders, and inventory management. * Monitor staff performance and provide feedback as needed. * *Customer Service Excellence:* * Address and resolve customer concerns promptly, ensuring an exceptional guest experience at all times. * Act as a point of contact for customer feedback, complaints, and suggestions, using your judgment to manage difficult situations professionally. * *Upkeep of Birmingham?s Standard:* * Uphold the values and standards of our establishment, ensuring our pub remains a vibrant and friendly place for guests. * Ensure the pub is maintained to the highest cleanliness and presentation standards throughout each shift. * *Food Quality Control:* * Oversee the preparation and presentation of food to ensure it meets the highest quality standards. * Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain food safety, portion control, and consistency. * Conduct quality checks to ensure every dish leaving the kitchen aligns with our menu specifications. * *Team Leadership:* * Motivate, train, and support staff in their roles, fostering a positive team culture. * Handle scheduling and staffing needs, ensuring the right coverage during peak hours. * Assist with staff performance evaluations and help with the development of team members. * *Operational Responsibilities:* * Assist the General Manager with managing stock levels and ordering supplies. * Maintain cash handling procedures, ensuring accurate till operation and reconciliation. * Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal requirements, including food hygiene and licensing. *Skills & Qualifications:* * Proven experience as a supervisor, manager, or assistant manager in a fast-paced hospitality environment, preferably in a pub or restaurant setting. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team in a high-volume environment. * Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues in a calm and professional manner. * A strong understanding of food safety and quality control. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including licensing laws. * Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. * A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and shift management. * Ability to work under pressure and in a busy, fast-paced environment. * Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards. *What We Offer:* * Competitive salary and benefits package. * Opportunities for career development and progression. * A vibrant, supportive, and fun team culture. * The chance to work in one of Birmingham?s pubs with a loyal customer base.
