South Frontenac Fire & Rescue Services is seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to work closely with the Fire Chief and Officers, leading operations and developing cutting-edge training programs to ensure our firefighters remain at the forefront of modern emergency response techniques and NFPA-compliant standards.
In this exciting role, you will leverage your deep knowledge and experience in contemporary firefighting practices, emergency response, and the operation and maintenance of apparatus and equipment. You?ll play a pivotal role in helping to shape the future of the department, ensuring optimal service delivery and compliance with legislative and regulatory standards.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Collaborate with the Fire Chief to drive the organization, coordination, and operational direction of the department, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
· Develop and review departmental policies and Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring that all activities align with regulatory and legislative requirements, while also fostering innovation and efficiency.
· Support the purchasing of equipment, requisitioning of supplies, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure the department?s readiness at all times.
· Design and implement an annual training curriculum, defining performance standards, learning objectives, and training activities that adhere to NFPA standards, legislative guidelines, and the Fire Chief?s vision for ongoing professional development.
*What We?re Looking For:*

*Qualifications:*
· Diploma in fire service management, business, public administration, or related field.
· A minimum of 10 years of experience in fire and rescue services, including at least 5 years as an Officer.
· Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
· NFPA Fire Officer Level II certification.
· NFPA Fire Instructor Level I; Level II certification is an asset.
· NFPA Incident Safety Officer certification.
· Valid MTO Class DZ Ontario Driver?s Licence with a clean driving abstract.
