We are hiring a <strong>Database Administrator</strong> for a fast-growing company with a strong North American presence. You will play a central role in <strong>managing, optimizing, and evolving</strong> the organization's databases.</p><p><strong>Your Daily Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Relational Database Management (SQL Server):</strong></p><ul><li>Perform <strong>backups, restorations, and disaster recovery</strong> operations.</li><li>Design optimized relational schemas (tables, indexes, relationships).</li><li>Write and optimize <strong>SQL queries</strong>, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.</li><li>Develop <strong>ETL processes</strong> using <strong>SSIS</strong> and generate reports with <strong>SSRS</strong>.</li><li>Analyze and resolve database performance issues.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Support and Collaboration:</strong></p><ul><li>Translate business needs into <strong>technical specifications</strong>.</li><li>Collaborate closely with technical teams and directors to fulfill data requirements.</li><li>Use BI tools like <strong>Power BI</strong> or <strong>QuickSight</strong> to create clear and actionable data visualizations.</li></ul><p><strong>NoSQL Database Management (DynamoDB)</strong> <em>(a plus)</em>:</p><ul><li>Design and model NoSQL data structures in DynamoDB with a focus on performance optimization.</li><li>Automate operations using scripts in Python or Node.js.</li><li>Integrate DynamoDB with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, Kinesis, and Glue.</li><li>Configure and optimize read/write capacities for effective cost management.</li></ul><p><strong>Your Profile:</strong></p><ul><li>University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.</li><li><strong>3 to 5 years of experience</strong> with <strong>SQL Server</strong> (mandatory) and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB (asset).</li><li>Excellent communication skills in <strong>French and English</strong> (oral and written) to interact with colleagues based outside of Quebec.</li><li>Expertise with <strong>SSIS, SSRS</strong>, and ETL concepts.</li><li>Experience with <strong>AWS</strong> and DynamoDB (an asset).</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>Python</strong> or <strong>Node.js</strong> to automate database operations (a plus).</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Flexible hours</strong> for a better work-life balance.</li><li><strong>Remote work</strong>: the ability to work primarily from home.</li><li>Generous vacation time, <strong>personal days</strong>, and additional leave during the <strong>Holiday season</strong>.</li><li><strong>Paid Friday afternoons off</strong> in July and August.</li><li><strong>Comprehensive benefits</strong>, including telemedicine and an employee assistance program.</li><li><strong>Retirement plan</strong> with employer contributions and an annual performance bonus.</li><li>The opportunity to join a company certified as a <strong>Great Place to Work®</strong> and recognized among <strong>Canada's Best Managed Companies</strong>.</li></ul><p><em>*Only selected candidates will be contacted.</em></p>- LocationMontréal, QC
