Reporting to the Project Manager the responsibilities of the Structural Engineer include: Work closely with field team to understand their needs and prepare concept, design for all required temporary structures; Collaborate with external engineers and internal team to create detailed technical drawings and schematics; Design, plan, and supervise all structural work; Complete temporary works designs to include concrete form-work, critical lift plans, worker access, etc.; Create and finalize shop fabrication drawings including custom fabrication and design;   Material take-off and generation of bill of materials; Conduct quality checks on completed work to identify any errors or discrepancies; Support all projects through the fabrication process or temporary and permanent steel structures; Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management; Interface with client representatives, design engineers, consultants, other contractors, etc.; Ensure project is constructed in accordance with QA Programs and project quality; All other duties as assigned. Requirements Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering program or similar, or a combination of technical training and/or related experience; P.Eng registration in BC with EGBC is required; 3-5 years minimum of structural experience, preferable on large infrastructure projects; Experience on hydroelectric dams would be considered an asset; Working knowledge of Worksafe BC regulations; Excellent command of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, etc. Bilingualism, French and English, would be considered an asset.
