Responsibilities
Tasks

Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments
-
Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition
-
Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
-
Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
-
Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
-
Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
-
Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice
-
Provide nursing care
-
Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming

Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients

Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results
-
Establish group and personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team

Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments
