*Since 1974, Sunrise Healing Lodge Society has provided Indigenous based programs dealing with addictions in the community. We help men, women and their families recover from the destructive effects of alcohol, drug and gambling addictions. Our 14 Week program is based on the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and Indigenous Culture and Traditions.* *Responsibilities to both the Outpatient and Inpatient areas of the agency* · Regard the well-being of the clients they serve as their primary professional obligation. · Must enjoy client interaction. · Group facilitation. · 1-1 counseling and documentation. · Community educational presentations. · To establish and maintain client files and documentation in an appropriate, confidential and accountable manner according to established standards. · To ensure consistency of quality, accountability and high standards in the Sunrise Program providing client care, support and education in the clients? treatment program. · To participate actively as a member of the ?Sunrise Community? in staff activities. · Attend all mandatory meetings. *Desired Qualifications:* · Ability to be flexible in their work environment. · Knowledge and appreciation of Indigenous cultures, history, and ceremony · Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Psychology or Addictions - Will consider some post-secondary education with experience in addictions or a related field. · Strong boundaries and knowledge of professional ethics. · Effective oral and written communication. · Effective group facilitation and public speaking skills. · Have own vehicle or other reliable transportation. · Familiar with resources in the Calgary and surrounding community. · Standard First Aid and Naloxone Training *Competition closes December 27th 2024 at 4:00PM.
