Position #: 202706 Expected Start Date: January 06, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Sunrise Health & Wellness Centre City/Town: Yorkton Department: Primary Health Services - Region Defined Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Physician Assistant Degree $51.102 to $62.5 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalist who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an assetEducation- Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant educational degree program recognized by the Physician Assistant Certification Council of Canada (PACCC)- Holds one of the following certifications: Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC or the Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
