*Job Summary*
We are looking for a project coordinator that plays an essential role in project execution. This dynamic role is focused on assisting project management in developing and maintaining schedules, managing labour, estimating, customer relations, engineering, contract management, and project controls.
*Responsibilities:*
*PROJECT COORDINATION DUTIES*
* Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure overall project performance, including cost control, schedule adherence, safety compliance, and quality standards.
* Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, defining objectives, deliverables, milestones, and strategies for successful execution.
* Coordinate and plan construction activities, identify potential risks, and resolve technical field issues effectively.
* Review, interpret, and update construction schedules while ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
*COST MANAGEMENT & DOCUMENTATION DUTIES*
* Perform quantity takeoffs, surveys, and assist with contract progress reporting.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and construction progress records.
* Assist with change management processes, including pricing, processing, and assessing cost and schedule impacts of changes.
* Write and review purchase specifications, subcontract documents, and reports as needed.
* Monitor and manage project budgets, providing cost reports and forecasts to maintain transparency and informed decision-making.
*QUALITY, SAFETY, AND RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT DUTIES*
* Conduct quality control activities, implement inspection programs, and ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and engineering principles.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with trade partners by managing tender packages, defining scopes of work, responding to inquiries, and monitoring progress.
* Monitor and support safety programs, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and contributing to maintaining a safe work environment.
* Provide project status updates to stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and management, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor?s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* 1-5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a preference for experience in commercial, institutional, or heavy construction projects.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, building materials, safety standards, construction sequences, and building codes.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to construction challenges and propose effective solutions.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to work positively within a team environment.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, schedules, and responsibilities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
