*What we are looking for*
We are seeking a *Payroll Administrator* to manage payroll operations for approximately 600 employees in the group. Reporting to Payroll Supervisor, this role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and continuous payroll system improvements. * Process and manage payroll for *around 600 employees* across multiple provinces.
* Review and reconcile *time and attendance records*, ensuring accurate tracking of employee hours, overtime, and leaves.
* Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
* Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll regulations, including taxation, deductions, and statutory reporting.
* Assist with annual payroll filings, such as T4, T4A, EHT, WSIB, and WorkSafe programs.
* Maintain and update payroll system records, processing changes for new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
* Support payroll system upgrades and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
* Assist with payroll transitions for new acquisitions as needed.
*Who you are*
* *Experience:* Minimum *3 years* of payroll processing experience, preferably handling *high employee volumes*.
* *Certification:* PCP preferred
* *Knowledge:* Strong understanding of *time and attendance tracking systems* and payroll software (e.g., ADP Workforce, Ceridian, Payworks).
* *Compliance:* Familiarity with Canadian payroll legislation. U.S. payroll experience is a plus.
* *Technology:* Proficiency in *Microsoft Excel* and experience with payroll automation tools.
* *Skills:* High attention to detail, confidentiality, and problem-solving abilities.
* *Attitude:* Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $42,000.00-$63,500.00 per year
