*POSITION OVERVIEW :*
We are seeking an experienced *Industrial Mechanic* to join our *growing technical team*. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks aimed at ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of all production equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and collaborating with the technical team to drive continuous improvement efforts.
*SALARY :*
* Salary based on experience, *ranging from $29.27/hour to $37.00/hour*
*SCHEDULE :*
* Monday to Friday, *7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.*
* Participation in the evening and weekend *on-call rotation* *(required)*
* Permanent, full-time position
*KEY RESPONSABILITIES :*
*Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:*
* Conduct regular inspections of machinery, documenting any issues or irregularities to ensure optimal functionality.
* Supervise and participate in troubleshooting, repairs, and breakdown interventions to minimize production disruptions.
* Perform comprehensive mold maintenance, including cleaning, repairs, and greasing, while ensuring the upkeep of associated equipment such as water heaters, hoses, and ejector pins.
* Safely transport, hang, clamp, unclamp, and remove molds from presses
* Connect hydraulic, air, and water lines to molds, conduct mold startups, perform part sampling, and troubleshoot any quality issues to ensure optimal production cycles and high-quality parts.
* Assist with plant-wide maintenance activities such as cleaning, machine painting, and troubleshooting mechanical issues as required.
*Project & Process Improvement:*
* Prioritize daily tasks, manage projects, and implement continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with his Supervisor.
* Lead projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of production equipment, contributing to reduced downtime.
* Program and fine-tune robotic cells, ensuring proper function and safety for both personnel and equipment.
* Contribute to the planning and execution of preventative maintenance checks.
*Safety & Compliance:*
* Adhere to strict safety protocols and lockout procedures throughout the plant, completing all lockout documentation using LIMBLE.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition, prioritizing safety in all maintenance activities.
*Documentation & Reporting:*
* Document all maintenance activities in our CMMS, including detailed notes, photos, and supporting documents, to ensure compliance with company standards.
*Team Support & Training:*
* Assist in the training and development of new maintenance staff.
* Support the Mold Change team with mold installation, removal, repairs, and processing.
*EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS : *
* *DEP Industrial mechanics or in a related field*
* Minimum *5 years of experience* as an Industrial Mechanic
* Participation in the evening and weekend *on-call rotation* (required)
* *Autonomous* with the ability to work independently and taking initiative when needed, while knowing when to ask questions for clarity or guidance
* *Good interpersonal skills*: Ability to work effectively with *different team members*, adapting to various personalities and collaborating to achieve common goals
* Strong *prioritization skills*, able to adjust tasks and focus based on changing needs or urgent situations
* Excellent *organizational and time-management skills*
* Clear and effective *communication* skills
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively *under pressure* while maintaining a strong emphasis on *safety*, ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with safety protocols.
* Experience using a *Computerized Maintenance Management System* (CMMS) (Asset)
