*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher to inspire and educate young learners in our Christian school. this is a full time position for the upcoming school year of September 2026 (Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm). The ideal candidate will create a nurturing classroom environment, develop engaging lesson plans, and support students' academic and social growth. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's educational journeys through innovative teaching methods and personalized instruction. *Duties* * Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Ontario curriculum standards in subjects such as Math, Writing, and other core areas. * Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles, including those with disabilities or in special education programs. * Incorporate instructional design principles to create engaging and effective lessons that promote active learning. * Provide tutoring and additional support to students requiring extra help in specific subjects like Math or Writing skills. * Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect. * Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives. * Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress reports. * Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development, behavior, and academic achievements. *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field. * Ontario certified teacher * Must be able to work with kids grades 1-6 * Fluent in English * French experience bonus * Valid teaching certification/license for elementary education. * Experience working with children in classroom settings; prior classroom experience is highly preferred * Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is a plus. * Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues. * Skills in tutoring, instructional design, and curriculum development across core subjects such as Math and Writing. * Ability to create an inclusive learning environment that supports early childhood development and accommodates diverse learners.
