Prestige Vernon Lodge & Conference Centre is looking for a full-time or part-time Front Desk Agent (also known as a Guest Services Agent). *Who are we?* We are more than a hotel chain. Read our story at: https://www.prestigehotelsandresorts.com/about-us/our-story/ *What is in it for you?* * Be a part of a company that wants to make a difference in BC communities (visit our website to read about our love for JoeAnna's House and our Go Green Program) * Competitive hourly wage based on your experience ($18.50 - $19 per hour) * Restaurant and hotel discounts *Duties & Responsibilities* * Provides courteous and professional guest services * Utilizes instinctive upselling techniques and negotiate rates to maximize revenue and occupancy levels * Maintains order and cleanliness at the front desk * Handles guest accounts * Assists guests on arrival, departure and during their stay * Operates the telephone console * Processes reservation and cancellation requests * Performs other duties as directed by the General Manager *What does an ideal candidate look like?* * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Front desk experience is an asset but NOT required * Must be willing to get Basic First Aid * Available to work evenings and weekends * *Must be legally entitled to work in Canada* Pay: $18.50-$19.00 per hour Work Location: In person- Location Vernon, BC
