Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
  • Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
  • Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
  • Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
  • Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
  • Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
  • Review programs and policies to ensure conformance with regulations
  • Provide spiritual and moral guidance to members of a religious faith
  • Plan, organize and administer foreign aid and international development policies and programs
  • Oversee development of communication strategies
  • Manage training and development strategies
  • Leading/instructing groups
  • Evaluate social programs
  • Ensure that procedures are conducted in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Develop risk management plans
  • Develop and manage programs and services
  • Consult with boards of directors, senior managers and government officials
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies
  • Develop marketing strategies
  • Monitor donors throughout procedure
  • Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations
  • Develop sponsorship, partnership or fundraising programs
  • Plan, develop and organize the policies and procedures of establishments
  • Direct committees and working groups working on projects and programs
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
  • Prepare reports for senior management
  • Plan and organize the delivery of social and community service programs
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Evaluate communication strategies and programs
  • Develop and implement a strategic blueprint to follow when deploying databases within their organization
