Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Dusty. Noisy. Odours. Work setting: Rural area. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Handling animals. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Weaning. Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures. Maintain financial and production records. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain livestock performance records. Select livestock for sale. Maintain work records and logs. Perform general farm duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Organized. Team player. Experience: Experience an asset.
