According to the RCMP, Mounties in Saskatchewan and Manitoba have been facing staffing shortages due to persistent staff vacancies. Temporary relocations of police officers to Saskatchewan and Manitoba from other areas are required to help relieve staff. In November, 2024 the vacancy rate for the RCMP in Saskatchewan was approximately 13%.
