Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work site environment: Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Work setting: Shelter for the homeless. Tasks: Food preparation. Resolve conflict situations. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Clean and maintain equipment. Supervision: No supervision responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Food Safety Certificate. Target audience: Persons with mental health disabilities. Persons with physical disabilities. Street population. Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail. MS Office. Area of work experience: Community service organization. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Values and ethics. Client focus. Team player. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?.
