We are seeking professional and highly-motivated bakers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality breadmaking and pastry arts. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to work well under pressure, multitask effectively, and work well with a group. The right candidate will also have experience baking, chocolate arts, cake decorating and confectionary. *The position might be a right for you if...* * Have a car or another reliable mode of transportation (*4/5AM*). * Are familiar with baking a variety of quickbreads (muffins, scones, cookies, etc.) * Are familiar with baking equipments * Proficient in making dough and various fillings * Enjoy a busy, physically active work environment. * Have a positive, solutions oriented attitude. * Are reliable, honest and punctual. * Love to learn new things and are open to feedback. * Are able to stand for long periods of time * Are able to lift up to 25kg. * Have a valid work permit to work in Canada, or status to be employed in Canada * Must be available to work weekends and holidays *Responsibilities:* * Prep food and baked goods for the day, organizing and labelling * Prepare artisan breads, pastries and cakes * Clean, organize and prepare in a kitchen setting * Be able to lift 25kg + * Stocking, organizing, cleaning following the daily inventory tasks and cleaning tasks * Working with kitchen team by cleaning dishes, bussing, execute daily cleaning * Prepare sandwich items, salads, donuts, and sugar arts * Food Safety Level 1 is required * Excellent attention to detail * Ability to be standing/walking for long periods of time * Time management * Efficient and accurate scaling of the required ingredients * One (1) year of Experience in a bakery is preferable * *25-40hrs/week* *Your benefits...* * Starting wage is 18.00$-$21.00/hour. * Wage increase as skills develop, and upon performance review * Fun and supportive team that works together to get our daily production * Free parking on site * 20% Staff discount * Free beverages, coffee, tea * Extended Health Benefits (vision, optometry, life insurance included) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20 ? 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay * Tips Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Discounted or free food * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * Store discount * Vision care Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Night shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person- LocationSurrey, BC
